The Montroyal Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) exists to enrich every child's experience here at Montroyal Elementary, as well as support parents, guardians and school staff. This can be in the form of providing hot lunch, library books, lab computers, guest speakers, music & drama support, sports program, events and fundraisers, and more. As a parent or guardian at Montroyal, you are automatically an important member of our Montroyal Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) and we encourage you to Get Involved.
Purpose of the MPAC Executive Team
The MPAC Executive team is made up of dedicated volunteer parents & guardians. The duties include:
Help maintain a working relationship among parents, staff and students;
Assist in providing effective communication between home and school;
Assist in identifying educational priorities;
Assist in shaping the philosophy and direction of Montroyal School;
Serve as a sponsoring body for school events and fundraisers;
Help maintain a sense of school and community spirit.
The Board of Education, as a matter of policy, recognizes the School District Parent Advisory Council made up of representatives from individual school Parent Advisory Councils. In addition to educating and advising District parents and guardians, the District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) may also advise the Board on matters related to education in the School District. To this end, the DPAC liaises with community and provincial organizations and meets with the Superintendent or designate.
