Scholastic Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair is a fun school fundraiser benefiting the Library and other Montroyal reading initiatives while putting books into the hands of our young readers.  This exciting two day event brings students, parents and teachers alike to our Library in search of that next great read.


Fall 2017 Scholastic Book Fair Invitation

We are pleased to host the Scholastic Book Fair at Montroyal once again!  This event is designed to deliver a great selection of reading materials to our students while benefiting the Library, classrooms and our reading programs.

When: October 17-18,  8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Childminding provided during Mid Point Conferences, details below

Teachers' Preview: October 16, 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Grade 7 Shopping hours: October 16, until 2:15 pm

Where: Montroyal Elementary Library


  •  Extended and special shopping hours.  Visit the Fair before school in the morning or when you come to the Parent Teacher Conferences (Mid Point Conferences).  Division 1 class visits will occur on Monday, October 16 in the afternoon.  These are our student volunteers!.
  • Reading Room Childminding.  Have multiple Conferences to attend?  Conference not student led?  Leave your child in the Reading Room next to the Library.  Grade 7 volunteers under a watchful eye of an adult volunteer will keep your child busy with all things Wild West.  Siblings welcome.
  • Contests including a $25 Fair credit for the winning student and $25 credit for their classroom.  Complete the ballot on the last page of the attached flyer and enter to win at the Fair
  • Teacher’s Wish List.  Add to your child’s classroom resources by purchasing a book from their Wish List.  Leave your legacy.  Watch for the Wish Lists at the Fair
  • Start your Holiday shopping.  Books make fantastic gifts and the Fair is the place to get them at great prices
  • Check your child’s classroom visit schedule if you wish to join your child during their designated shopping hours.  Parents may attend the Fair at any time. 

Payment Options: cash, cheque (payable to Montroyal School), debit, credit card (Visa, Master Card and AMEX).
Please send small bills.  Money should be placed in a zip lock bag with your child’s name on it or in a wallet. 

Please note that there will be novelty items for sale at the book fair; such as posters, pencils, erasers, etc. If you do not want your child to spend money on these items, please make this clear to them.  We cannot accommodate returns or refunds.

The Scholastic Book Fair is one way to get your child interested in reading and we are excited to bring this amazing event to our school.
