Montroyal Logo Contest

Calling all Creative Minds!

​To strengthen our school’s identity and brand, we are hosting a CONTEST to redesign the school logo!
The new logo MUST:
  • incorporate the school’s colour: Emerald Green
  • include the letter M or the name Montroyal
  • include the school mascot: Mountain Lion
    (either the whole body or specific body parts, ie: claw, mouth,
    tail)
  • not be plagiarized
  • be scalable (simple enough to be scaled up or down)
  • be simple yet impactful
    If using paper format, a scan or high-quality digital photo can be used.
    WHO CAN ENTER: Staff, students, and parents of Montroyal Elementary.
    SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 8, 2019 to [email protected]
    After reviewing all entries, the PAC Executive, Principal, and Vice Principal will select and announce the winning design which will be forwarded to a professional designer for final processing.
    The winning logo will become the school’s new identity and be incorporated into various spirit-wear items (including hoodies, t-shirts, and polo shirts) available for online purchase.

ICBC's RoadSense Kids is coming to Montroyal!

The ICBC RoadSense Kids program aims to teach students about road and pedestrian safety by making smarter, safer choices. Materials include CDs, DVDs, lesson plans, Smart Board teaching files, and activity books. 

Thank you to Mr. Campbell and Montroyal's teachers for supporting our efforts to bring road safety into Montroyal's classrooms. None of this would be possible without your engagement and willingness to implement the program.

Special thanks also to ICBC for generously providing Montroyal with these materials free of charge.

Inclusive Education

Join the Partners for Inclusive Education for a night of insightful speakers once a month.  The next meeting is February 6 @ Lynnmour Elementary from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Handsworth Rebuild Updates

​Announced Jan 2018 Handsworth will be fully rebuilt with a competition date of Aug 2021. The $62.3 million project is a collaborative effort by SD44, School Board, Ministry of Education and the DNV. The project does not include the sports field, furniture or outdoor lighting.
