MPAC TREASURER ROLE NEEDED

​After months of advertising, borderline stalking..we have had many failed attempts at finding a Treasurer to fill in Howie's footsteps.  This role is to put it simply: THE role of the MPAC.  It is the backbone of what the MPAC is about.  It is taken on by individuals with the highest integrity and is a much  respected position in the community. 

Many of the things we love about our school community has been supported by funds raised from our MPAC.  We are working very  hard to create even more of these opportunities. The Computer Lab, New Stage, Coding Programs, Hot Lunch Program are all just a few things we have done in the past.  The MPAC Executive team is filled with driven individuals who each bring unique skills and passion to continue building this fabulous community.

With all that said: if we are not able to fill the Treasurer role NOW, we will not be able to continue as a MPAC. And as a result will impact any additional activities provided during before, after school, hot lunch & additional support to school for equipment needed, no social events and no fun newsletter :(.

PLEASE spread the word, if you have any hint of willingness to help: please email us NOW. (Even if you have a friend that may have kindergartener next year!).

Click here for the Job Description. But in short: the time commitment is approx 5-8hrs a week. There is a handover that is required but you will be supported every step of the way until you are up to speed. 

Action is required immediately as we need to start the process of deconstructing the MPAC should it come to that.

MPAC Meeting Thursday @ 7:30pm

Join us in the library at 7:30pm to be part of the conversation and VOTE on increasing our Coding Budget!

Strings Extravaganza

Join us on March 12 @ 7pm for a night of Music featuring OUR students along with many others from the district.

Performance is at Centennial Theatre. 
Admission is $12 for adults/seniors and $7 for students
Note: performing students are free (of course).
Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.

Handsworth Rebuild Updates

​Announced Jan 2018 Handsworth will be fully rebuilt with a competition date of Aug 2021. The $62.3 million project is a collaborative effort by SD44, School Board, Ministry of Education and the DNV. The project does not include the sports field, furniture or outdoor lighting.
