June 7 TIME TO TALK

This is the 3rd Annual Barn Burner featuring Barney Bentall, Odds and Rich Hope, with special guest Steven Page!!! Last year we raised $50,000 and this year we hope to beat that.

Our Charitable Society will be donating the proceeds from the concert and Time to Talk events to Jack.org. This organization is working hard to empower young people to become leaders, learn skills to help others, and take those skills back to their schools or groups to spread the word to help people who need a hand dealing with mental health issues. This is a 19 years+ event, with lots of great music!

Tickets for Barn Burner are available HERE

Block Watch

Picture
The goal of Block Watch is to build a crime-free British Columbia through community participation. It is a program to help neighbours watch out for neighbours. It aims to get citizens involved in crime prevention at the local level. The ultimate success of Block Watch depends largely on a commitment to cooperate between area residents and the police – and more importantly, between residents themselves.  Click here to view a Block Watch brochure.

Red Bag Recycling Public Drop-off Depot

Picture
HOW IT WORKS: Our North Vancouver location offers public drop-off hours for resource recovery of materials not generally accepted by municipal blue box collections. There is a fee of $7 to drop-off an extra large bag full of mixed recycling materials– materials which may otherwise end up in a landfill. We provide optional WCS bags for a deposit of $7 to collect your materials in.  Have an old car seat that you don’t want to end up in the landfill and don’t know what to do with? We also recycle car seats for a charge of only $5 each!
