MPAC Fundraising Achievements (2013-2014)

Last year was very successful in terms of fundraising which was, for the most part, as a result of the Parent Social held at the Rugby Club, Hot Lunch and various other smaller fundraising initiatives. The full 2013/14 results can be found here.
In 2013/2014, the MPAC, as part of its annual approved budget, purchased:
Last year was packed with workshops, speakers, etc. This included two performance productions (Blueberries, Paperboy Princess), a week long dance instruction clinic with Kelly Richardi, the Gymsense program, a social media awareness seminar with Jesse Miller and a seminar by Josh Drean on defeating bullying. The PAC also organized the well-attended "Project LunchBox" seminar for parents on packing a healthy lunch for our children.
In total, we were able to cover all of our annual operating costs and wind up with a very healthy surplus of $17,703.
At our October 16, 2014 PAC meeting, membership approved the transfer of this surplus to our technology reserve, raising its balance to over $40,000. At our next PAC meeting in November, details will be provided for the new technology plan, which will include an overhaul of the existing computer lab.
In 2013/2014, the MPAC, as part of its annual approved budget, purchased:
