February 27 District Lockdown Drill
The NV School District schedules an annual District Lockdown Drill Day as part of our Safe & Caring Schools program in coordination with the NV RCMP. This is an important opportunity for students and staff to practice our responses to a threat in school. Find the letter HERE to parents/guardians explaining the reasons for the drill and the school lock down procedures.
An increasing number of students are coming to school with cell phones. We ask parents to have a discussion with children to turn them to silent when at school. Alerts, calls/texts are disruptive & could potentially put students at risk.

February 28 Pink Shirt Day
Pink shirt day is Feb 28th and we encourage all students to wear pink shirts to school. In today’s digital world, it can be impossible to escape online bullying, whether it takes the shape of harassment, spreading rumours, sharing embarrassing information or threats. This year, Pink Shirt Day is encouraging others to combat cyberbullying by thinking twice before posting something negative, and instead using the internet to spread kindness - because we know that Nice Needs No Filter!
