Lion King

It is almost time for the highly anticipated (drum roll) spring play!  If this is your first year at Montroyal: this is one of those "not to miss" events.  So make sure you mark your calendars as we will have 4 opportunities to see the show!  April 9th & 11th at 1pm & 7pm.  Tickets are by donation at the door.
There is also a volunteer sign up here. These events rely heavily on volunteers...so please find a spot and be part of the success!

Outdoor School

This week it's the grade 4's that get to go away to outdoor school! I am sure there are a lot of scited (scared and excited) children.  But rest assured that it's a FUN and safe couple of days filled with new ways to learn. If you need any information click here. 

Last chance to order Purdy's?

Grade 7 Fundraiser is almost closing!!
Order your Purdy's Chocolate before April 3, 2019.  Remember the person who orders the most Chocolate will be the happiest.  It's basic Math.

Orders will be handed out Wednesday April 17, 2019.

Term 3 Programs

There are a ton of exciting programs this term.  Including Coding, Tennis, Chess, Ultimate Frisbee as well as our regular after care with  North Vancouver Rec. Don't forget to register. Click here for full details.

Partners for Inclusive Education

PIE is hosting another informative evening discussing "Behaviour as Communication".  The guest speaker this week is Regan Rankin.  If you would like to join us remember to RSVP here.  It is held at Lynnmour Elementary on April 3 from 6:30-8:30.

This evening is a wonderful opportunity to connect with not only other parents but teachers, support workers, principals and members of the extended school district.  It really is a fountain of resources and information.  If you have a child with additional needs it is highly recommended to come to one of these evenings.

44 Dresses Project

Everyone else is doing it!! So why not clean out your closet for a good cause?  44Dresses Boutique Day is Tuesday, April 29th, 2019. Click here to read more about how cleaning out your closet can help a NVSD
Gr 7 student have a special outfit for their Farewell event.  It's not just about the dresses...anything you feel would help create a magical outfit for any student would be welcome! Ms Gill has kindly offered to take any clothing you wish to donate on your behalf.  Clothing has to be well presented on hangers...the project creates a true feeling of "shopping" for this event.  So clean out those closets..and let's help all the Gr 7's have a wonderful farewell!

Handsworth Rebuild Updates

​Announced Jan 2018 Handsworth will be fully rebuilt with a competition date of Aug 2021. The $62.3 million project is a collaborative effort by SD44, School Board, Ministry of Education and the DNV. The project does not include the sports field, furniture or outdoor lighting.
