About The MPAC
In a nutshell, the Montroyal Parent Advisory Council or MPAC exisits to enrich every child's experience here at Montroyal Elementary. This can be in in many forms such as of providing books for the library, computers for the lab, guest speakers, music & drama support, sports programs, you name it. As a parent at Montroyal, you are automatically an important member of our Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) and we encourage you to get involved.
The MPAC executive team
Your MPAC Executive team is made up of dedicated parents who are here to support you, the staff and administration to ensure our children have a great year. MPAC initiatives and community events support extra-curricular activities, performing groups and key-note speakers throughout the year. We also facilitate financial assistance to each classroom and our music program, library, tech-computer labs, athletics and playgrounds. With the work of outstanding volunteers we offer Hot Lunch once per week, programs like Yoga, Chess Club and BrainStem. The exec team generally meet a week prior to the general PAC meetings to help facilitate the needs of the parents.
Decisions are made and voted on by you, the parents, during MPAC meetings. The meetings are for sharing and planning and are a forum for open discussion for anything that may effect your childrens experience at Montroyal Elementary. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. A complete schedule of meeting dates and times for the year can be found here.
